The role of the Senior Finance Controlling Specialist is instrumental within the dynamic NAM (North America) Performance Controlling team of Siemens Healthineers NAM zone. Directly reporting to the Director Finance – Performance Controlling, this position serves as a subject matter expert proficient in all aspects of the group’s functions, encompassing finance partnership, performance controlling, KPI analysis, forecasting and ad hoc projects.

Furthermore, this individual actively seeks opportunities to drive pivotal business initiatives, take the lead on finance projects and offer direct support to Executive Management, thus rendering their contribution indispensable to the organization’s success.

Responsibilities

The specific duties include.

  • Acting as a trusted partner to the Head of Customer Finance, providing expertise, advice and business administration and controlling services for the Field Sales organization and Customer Finance division.
  • Overseeing the financial close, cost center rolling forecast and budget planning processes for both the Field Sales and Customer Finance sectors.
  • Collaborating with Commission and GPO Administration groups to ensure accurate expense booking, reporting and forecasting of internal commissions and third-party sales fees.
  • Developing a cost allocation methodology and ensuring transparency, analysis and effective communication to internal stakeholders regarding allocated costs, SG&A, COGS and headcount.
  • Innovating financial models and forecast methodologies by creating new ones and enhancing existing ones.
  • Proposing and implementing meaningful KPIs to facilitate decision-making processes.
  • Supporting corporate initiatives and driving the evaluation and implementation of digitalization opportunities.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience

The incumbent should possess:

  • Advanced expertise and experience in cost center budgeting/forecasting, monthly close activities and various forms of financial analysis, ideally with 6-8 years of relevant experience.
  • Recognition as a valued and trusted expert in the aforementioned fields, serving as an internal advisor to functional or line management.
  • Excellent professional judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced communication skills to effectively present key issues and recommended actions.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint/think-cell and SAP.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools, data analysis and visualization, automation and digitalization (e.g., Excel macros, KNIME, UIPath, PowerBI), which are considered advantageous.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Potential minimal travel requirement (up to 10%).
