The National Population Commission (NPC) plan is up to recruit 25 million ad-hoc workers for the 2023 population census exercise
The National Population Commission has officially activated the NPC e-recruitment platform. To start the process of recruitment of ad-hoc staff for the national population and housing census that will take place in 2023.
This announcement was made by the Chairman of the National Population Commission, Nasir Isa-Kwarra, who pointed it out clearly while he was speaking at the launch of the portal in Abuja. Stressing the need to have the best hands and equipment to work on the census.

The National Population Commission requests applications from suitable candidates to participate as ad-hoc staff in the 2023 Population and Housing Census in the following categories:
- Field Coordinators
- Training Centre Administrators
- Monitoring & Evaluation Officers
- Data Quality Managers
- Facilitators
- Data Quality Assistants
- Supervisors
- Special Workforce
- Enumerators
Requirements
The general requirement for NPC Recruitment are as follows
- Applicant must be a citizen of Nigeria
- Applicant must have a valid National Identification Number
- Applicant must have an active e-mail account
- Applicant must have an active phone number
- Applicant must have an active commercial bank account (Not a student/NYSC Account)
- Applicant Must have valid educational qualifications such as a Secondary diploma, high school diploma, Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, or Doctorate degree.
- Applicant must be able to operate computers, tablets, and smartphones
- The minimum years for all Applicants is 18 years
- The maximum number of years for all applicants is 60 years

Screening Procedure
The NPC recruitment screening is arranged as follows;
- Applicants for NPC for Ad-hoc Staff will be screened based on their NIN, documents (School Certificates), and photo passport by the Recruitment Review Team
- The first screening is on the portal by screening the applicants based on the stated requirements.
- The LGA’s designated centers will conduct the Physical Screening
Prospective Ad-hoc staff can only apply on the census portal. Deployment of successful candidates will be done according to their residential areas.
Note
- Applicant must possess relevant qualifications.
- The NPC online recruitment portal will be temporary close for internal review from 7th November to 13th November 2022. Applicants are to submit their application before the closure date.

NPC Recruitment Allowances
Enumerator Allowances:
- Feeding: N2,000 per day = N10,000
- Transport: N20,000
- Training Allowance: N50,000
- The Enumerators are to earn the Total of N80,000
Supervisor Allowances:
- Feeding: N2,000 per day = N10,000
- Transport: N20,000
- Training Allowance: N65,000
- The supervisors are to earn the Total of N95,000
