The ‘Music of the Spheres Tour,’ a lengthy concert series by the British band Coldplay, has broken records as the first rock concert tour to earn more than $1 billion.

To become the highest-grossing rock tour of all time, the tour outrallied Sir Elton John’s five-year farewell tour.

Billboard reports that this tour has officially broken the $1 billion mark, making it the first music tour to do so.

American singer Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras’ tour broke records last year, earning more than $1 billion.

The ‘Music of the Spheres Tour’ by Coldplay, however, is the first to formally announce a global total of more than $1 billion.

At the tour dates in Ireland and Italy, respectively, Nigerian singers Burna Boy and Ayra Starr were special guests.
