The notoriously troubled Nigerian singer Dammy Krane is now free to roam the streets.

Davido kept Dammy Krane for six days after his arrest on charges of libel before releasing him on Thursday, August 29, 2024.

In a series of posts on his X handle, Dammy Krane claimed that he had been unlawfully arrested by police following Davido’s orders.

Famous social media critic Verydarkman, also known as VDM, broke the news of his release.

After Davido accused him of wrongdoing, Dammy Krane issued an apology in a video that has gone viral on Instagram (thanks to VDM).

“Dammykrane it out, dear @davido,” VDM captioned the video, adding, “God will honour you” since you have honored me by listening to my appeal, which is happening in less than four hours. I think God is giving him another opportunity, and I pray that he uses it to devote himself fully to music.

Dammy Krane expressed her gratitude to her brother in the video. Quite a few things should not be spoken. The claim that Tagbo died is false, and for that I am deeply sorry. My brother David is still among us. And we will discover a significant compromise that will settle all of this.
